Casino Estoril: Europe's Largest Casino

Welcome to the Portuguese Riviera. The Casino Estoril is a monument to gaming. A true city center, it overlooks the gardens of Estoril Park, which stretch down to Tamariz beach. Everything is just a short walk away: hotels, restaurants, and the ocean.

ACCESS AND TRANSPORT

✈️ By Plane

Estoril is located 25 minutes by car from Lisbon Humberto Delgado International Airport (Portugal). You can find direct flights from most major European cities.

🚗 Transfer to the Casino

VTC and taxis (approx. 25 min.). Expect to pay around €25 for an Uber or Bolt, and slightly more for a taxi.
By train (from central Lisbon) for those who wish to reach the Casino along the coast:
To reach Cais do Sodré station: from the airport, take the metro (red line) to Alameda, then switch to the green line until the terminus; Cais do Sodré (approx. 35 min).
The train journey (approx. 30-40 min): take the Cascais line (departures every 20 minutes). The route borders the ocean with magnificent views. Arrival: get off at the Estoril stop. The Casino is about 500 meters away on foot.

Portugal is famous for its incredible food, and Estoril is no exception. You will find plenty of great restaurants at affordable prices inside and around the Casino.
And you can't forget the Pasteis de nata—the delicious traditional custard tarts of the region.

🏨 Accommodation

Estoril offers a wide range of hotels near the Casino, from 3* to 5* accommodations.
Use platforms like Booking.com or Airbnb. In addition to Estoril, feel free to expand your search to Cascais (just 2km away, very lively in the evenings) or Monte Estoril.
Lisbon: you can also stay in the capital. The train journey is direct and takes about 40 minutes to reach the Casino.

💡 Practical Tip

Identity: If you are from the European Union, a National ID card is sufficient to enter Portugal. For others, please check passport/visa requirements.
Health: EU citizens should bring their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
Weather: In May, temperatures in Estoril are very pleasant (20°C-22°C). However, the Atlantic can still be quite chilly, so if you aren't afraid of cold water... don't forget your swimsuit!
